Northern California Scholarship Awards
Posted in Awards on 07/11/2011 05:54 pm by alamedacountyThe Northern California Scholarship Awards where given to students continuing to higher education. $10,000 was donated to the State NLPOA by the SF 49ers and was distributed among the Alameda , Contra Costa, SF County, SF Metro, Sonoma and Santa Clara County Chapters .
Bike The Bridges

The Alameda County Chapter of the NLPOA took 25 Latino boys and girls to the Oakland PAL camp Aug. 22, 23, 24. Hiking,swimming, sports and outdoor meals were provided by the chapter at the OPD campsite. Officer George Houston and his canine partner Timmie demonstrated bomb detection techniques. They work for the Bay Area Rapid Transit PD(BART). Kids line up to meet and pet Timmie Steve Fajardo has a discussion on the dangers of drug use with the campers |
